spring 2018 materiality exploration
As a Filipina-American, I am constantly feeling divided on which culture I identify closer to and which side should define me more. When being in the “inbetween”, I felt lost wondering how to see myself as being both. This work is about going back to my roots and an exploration of my bicultural upbringings and finding who I am, learning about my culture and how I fit within my filipino-heritage.
